My heart def felt heavy reading today... there was quite a glimpse into the depravity of man. I was glad there was a more lasting glimpse of God and His angels. It was interesting that God came in the form of 3 men (I wonder if that number represents God, Jesus, and the Spirit... any bible scholars around to provide us confirmation?).

It is thought that the other two men, with the Lord (God), are the angels who later meet Lot at Sodom. Perhaps there can be a correlation made concerning the Trinity but no reference is evident. It seems as though the two went ahead of God as Abraham requests mercy for the possibility of 50, 45, 40, 30, 20 or perhaps 10 righteous people, knowing Lot was there.

Odd to think that one could petition the Lord or angels like what was done with Abraham and Lot.

Hmm. Yeah I don't see the trinity here. It is a shame how far men can get away from our intent. Abraham pleads with God if there's just 10 righteous people and God destroys the city. So I guess that means there wasn't even 10.
