Esther

Esther is a great story about a person in authority can help an entire people. Interesting note though, Esther was a Jew, but she became Queen and married someone who was not Jewish. Since she was Queen she was able to save the Jews. Anyone have any thoughts about that?

Ester is an unusual book in the Bible, in that God is never mentioned, so prayer, worship and praising God are also not mentioned. God used Mordecai and Esther to rescue the Jews. They seem to be doing pretty good in a worldly sense but there is really no mention of them in a spiritual sense. Mordecai not bowing down to Haman is the closest thing to a spiritual reference. They might be spiritual, but it is hard to tell by what is written. Are they spiritual or are they secular people that God chose to use for his plan? To God be the glory, not to man!

Great comment Craig! I didn't ever see Esther as a secular person God was using to go about his will. To God be the glory....he can use anyone and anything! Wow! Powerful.
