Nehemiah! What a guy! Not only did his heart go out to the people, it was evident and written all over his face...that the king thought he was sick. He saw distress and mourned for many days and nights...fasting and praying to God. This really convicts me. When was the last time I really had that heart for someone's whose life is broken? The broken walls symbolizes the brokenness that sin causes in our lives.
Despite Nehemiah's enemies harassment, it didn't stop him from completing what God intended. He knew that God was with him and that he was doing a great work and it will prosper. The wall was rebuilt in 52 days! Incredible. Nehemiah attributes his success to God who strengthens his hands!
Looking forward to reading more about the great political and social reforms he leads. The best is yet to come...

Yes, Neh was a great example! I luved that he prayed allll the time even in the midst of conversing with smone (in his case, the king). Great thots T! (N luved hanging with u this morn!)
